Crater Cruise Gravel and SA Gravel Championship 2026

In 2026, the Crater Cruise will also host the South African Gravel Championship. The Crater Cruise Gravel is a premier cycling event set in the UNESCO-listed Vredefort Crater, following scenic gravel roads along the Vaal River and across three historical low-water bridges (“driwwe”). The route crosses provincial borders and showcases the unique beauty of the rural Free State and Northwest Province.
